Dove Cottage

Everything a couple needs for a great stay in this beautiful Peaks village is in Dove Cottage. Nicely set out and very well equipped, clean and comfortable, and you will not get a better location in Hartington. The village stores, pubs and restaurants are practically on the door step, and the famous cheese shop just across the road. Many excellent walks start and end from this village with many more just a short drive away. Henry your host is easy to contact and very helpful with advice. There was a nice welcome pack awaiting us in the kitchen with a few essentials and treats in it. Having the designated parking outside the cottage makes load in and out so easy, and takes away the worry of finding a space when you drive out and arrive back in what can be a very busy village centre. The key safe is easy to use and secure. Very comfortable and cosy and no noise during the night ensures a good night's sleep! We would definitely stay here again when we next visit this lovely place. A wonderful peaceful few days away in the perfect place! Positive: The cottage was so cozy and we felt safe. The hosts were easy to communicate with and responded immediately when I asked any questions- which wasn’t expected. Negative: There was nothing we did not like.

Great little cottage for two everything you need and helpful hosts In a really great village with a great pub for food and drink a great little shop across the road for coffee and bits and pieces and an Indian restaurant with takeout and a farm shop And lots of great walks from the door will definitely book again

An ideal cosy spot Positive: The cottage was warm, cosy and welcoming. The ideal spot for a solo trip with so many amenities on the doorstep, beautiful local walks and in close proximity to the roaches, dove dale, Thor’s cave. Lovely big bath for a soak after a long days hiking and a very comfortable bed to flop into! The hosts were very friendly and communicative. Negative: Nothing :)
